That's Edinburgh

Welcome to Edinburgh, where they eat Haggis and Blood Pudding! Some strange people, but very welcoming and nice. I had a great time in Edinburgh with the students and the landscapes were so beautiful you couldn't help enjoy yourself. When we arrived in Edinburgh we immediately went on a guided tour of the city. That's where a lot of these pictures are from. For dinner I tried Haggis for the first time! It actually wasn't that bad, but there's no way I could have eaten the whole thing as a meal. (If you're not sure what it is just google it- it's def not for the faint of heart.) That night we went to a traditional Scottish Cailidh (Kay-lee). It would be the equivalent of someone visiting Texas learning a line dance or square dance. It was pretty fun, but really hard! Everyone just enjoyed dancing and the bagpipes :)

Parliament and view of Arthur Seat in the background. Not a bad place to put a Parliament building.

The castle that Mary Queen of Scots lived in before being exiled. It's also still the residence of the current Queen Elizabeth when she visits every year. This summer Zara Phillips will be getting married in Edinburgh so there will be a lot of royals staying here this summer!

They literally saw this pub as the end of the world since it was the last building before the the wall that enclosed the city.

Edinburgh Castle- more to come on this later!

Luke and Claire having a blast at the Ceilidh!
