Greenwich Time

Somehow I forgot to post this or never finished it, not sure, but after we visited the Tower of London we jumped on a boat and headed down the river Thames to Greenwich or "Where Time Begins." It was pretty cool. Probably one of those places I wouldn't have ever visited on my own. This also happened to be the day that Obama arrived in London. On our way to the boat dock we were witnessed the official 41 gun salute to President Obama. The amount changes depending on the visiting official, we're not really sure what the 41 was for, but it was still pretty cool watching them set up the canons, shoot them off, and load up and ride off. Just one of those right place at the right time things.

You can see the smoke in the 2nd picture where they shot off one of the canons.

Dallas made the list of cities on the Prime Meridian!

Coolest globe ever! I wish I could've found a smaller version of this and taken it home with me. But alas the hunt for a globe is still on.

Greenwich from the  Royal Observatory. In the grass area you can see them setting up for the long distance horse racing for the Olympics.

Where some of the Royals used to live in the past. It was a really pretty house that is now a museum.
